Healing Touch for Animals® Helps Cat with Open Sore

Karen Schwichtenberg gave Animal Bridges a 5 Star Review on Facebook. The following is what she wrote on November 1, 2010:

I emailed Elaine a few weeks ago to see if she could help our cat Cameo heal the sore on his mouth. It would begin to heal with the application of Bacitracin, but then it itched him & he would scratch at it & open it up again.

Cami Told Elaine How to Hold A Cat and More

Even though we live hundreds of miles away, Elaine communicated with Cami & told him he had to leave the sore… alone so it could heal. Cami complained that it itched & bothered him a lot. Elaine did a long-distance healing therapy with Cami a couple days later.

It has been almost 2 weeks now, & Cami is feeling so much better! His sore is almost completely healed now & he doesn’t scratch at it any more. If I see him start to scratch, I just remind him what Elaine said, & he stops! Cami was fearful of the Lavender essential oil that Elaine recommended at first, but now he enjoys being stroked with the scent & it calms him down.

I had also told Elaine that Cami would not sit on my lap & I would like him to be more affectionate. Elaine spoke to him about this & learned that Cami does like to be stroked slowly & smoothly, but doesn’t like to be held tight. So I’ve been trying to get more lap time with Cami by letting him take the lead & not lifting him or grabbing him. He sat on my lap this afternoon for at least ten minutes & loved the stroking! He’s even starting to ‘head butt’. I guess his mom never taught him to greet others this way, like most cats do.

I am so thrilled to know what Cami is feeling & thinking! It has helped tremendously to understand where he’s coming from. I am so glad that his sore, that he had had for months, is now almost gone.

Thank you, Elaine!! I really appreciate you working with our kitty, even across the great distance!

Blessings to you & your work.
