On a summer night (2007) as I drove to my client’s house, a thunderstorm was moving in from the west. The dog, Chief, had a severe fear of thunderstorms and displayed dog anxiety. In the past, he ripped out of an airline crate and tore up a room. Here’s how this Dog’s Thunderstorm Anxiety Was Transformed.
As I walked in Chief, an 85 pound black lab/husky, greeted me calmly. Within three minutes, the storm broke over the house. In less five minutes, Chief was trembling, panting, hiding under the coffee table, and the whites of his eyes were showing. He was afraid!
I started using Tellington TTouch® touches on him and his eyes softened. Within a few minutes you could see his body relax. I continued with additional TTouch® techniques and flower essences. In less than 30 minutes, he got out from under the coffee table, shook off, and went into dog down position. He took a treat from my hand even while the thunderstorm continued. His guardian was surprised how quickly Chief relaxed.Since our sessions, Chief’s people use the techniques I taught them and Chief is much calmer with thunderstorms when they are home to help him.
