Since the Ukrainian war started, I’ve wondered how to help Ukraine’s people and animals. So many organizations help Ukraine’s people and refugees.
What organizations help Ukraine’s animals? What organizations can I trust? Are the organizations reputable? How can I help Ukraine’s animals?
Then in early April I received Dr. Marty Becker’s, “America’s Veterinarian,” newsletter.
He wrote – “On Monday, April 4, I will be leaving for a trip to the Ukrainian border. I will be working with World Vets to help them set up free veterinary care for pets of families fleeing the war, and with Sava’s Safe Haven in Romania to understand what the most urgent needs are.
“I will also be working with the Romanian Veterinary Medical Association and sharing Fear Free approaches with Romanian veterinary students who are caring for pets at the border. This will both help avoid stressing the animals and also reduce the risk of getting bitten by a terrified pet.”
With Dr. Becker’s newsletter, I had answers to help Ukraine’s pets. I trust Dr. Marty Becker’s opinion. I know he works with great organizations. And he’s in Romania to help Ukraine’s animals.
Organizations Helping Ukraine’s Animals
Dr. Marty Becker recommends these the organizations. All three organizations are 501c3 tax exempt charitable organizations. These wonderful organizations are helping dogs, cats and other pets. They provide water, food, shelter, veterinary care, and emergency support. Also Dr. Becker is teaching these teams to help terrified pets.
Use these links to read more about each organization:
- World Vets: Free Veterinary Care
- American Veterinary Medical Foundation: Veterinary Care
- Sava’s Safe Haven: Comprehensive Care & Services on the Border
These organizations are trying to unite the families and their pets. Please help these families find some joy in this terrible war.
Please donate, if you can.
Sending prayers and love to all affected.
