How I Work

Every people/pet team has unique needs. As I work, I listen to these needs. What does the client need? What does the animal need? How can I help them overcome challenges for a happier, more enjoyable life together? Then I make suggestions. Often, I find that a combination of approaches will serve both the client and the pet best.

We start with a menu of selections and select the most appropriate choice for that session. Sometimes I recommend one method and other times I recommend several methods. It really depends on each individual animal and person’s needs. All methods are gentle and loving.

It’s easy to set up a single session, multiple sessions, or to arrange for a class or presentation for your pet-related group! Just contact me here or call me at 612-237-9580. I’m happy to help you explore the options and find the best solution for your unique situation.

Each session is as
unique as
your pet
And each session with
your pet can be unique from her
previous sessions.

What Are Sessions Like?

Animal Communication sessions are done from a distance. Working with a photo and basic information about your pet, I hold a telepathic conversation with your pet (living or deceased), asking your pet about five or six key questions you’ve provided, and relating any information you’ve asked me to pass along. I work from my home while your pet is comfortable in yours. After the session, I provide a transcript. My clients find these records both fascinating and useful.

I will discuss the animal communication session with you and ask your pet additional questions. The animal communication fee includes the review of your questions, the initial animal communication session, e-mailing the transcript, and reasonable additional consultation time.

During a TTouch® or Healing Touch for Animals® session, I often check in with your pet to see how they are doing and ask for their input. There is no additional charge for these quick conversations, and no transcript is provided.

Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) sessions can be done in person or from a distance. In a HTA session, I begin by asking questions about your pet and your observations. Then I use hands-on HTA techniques on your pet. In a distance healing, I call you at the appointment time to tell you I will be working with your pet and then again at the end of the session. During the session you may notice the pet relax. At the end of the session, we will talk about your observations, my recommendations, and possible follow-up sessions.

Bach® Flower Remedies personal blends can be made during our face-to-face session or mailed to you with recommendations for use. When creating a personalized blend of flower essences for an animal or you, I consult with you on your perceptions of the pet’s emotions. Together we review the possible flower essences and I create a personalized blend.

Individual TTouch® sessions are generally held at your home, where your pet is most comfortable. In a TTouch® session, I begin by observing your dog’s movement and behaviors, and then address any issues with specialized touches designed to help with common issues such as fears, anxieties, unwanted or compulsive behaviors, and so on. In addition to the touches, I may introduce basic TTouch® equipment to help your animal. The touches and equipment combined with movement help the animal make a shift in a positive direction. During the session, you will learn appropriate TTouches® for your pet.

If you live outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, I can consult with you over the phone or by Skype. Many issues can be addressed this way, or I may refer you to a TTouch® practitioner in your area.

The following chart summarizes which methods are done in person and which can be done from a distance.

TTouch® Classes and Presentations

I also lead TTouch® classes for people and their dogs. You and your dog will learn basic TTouch® touches and techniques in short (3-hour) classes or a full-day (6-hour) class. I design each class to meet the needs of the people and dogs. Sign up for my newsletter at the top of the page for listings of current classes and other great information for pets and their people.

Would your organization like a speaker for one of your meetings? I give TTouch® presentations to rescue groups, breed-specific clubs, and other organizations. Each presentation is customized to fit your group’s interests, whether that means increasing adoptable behaviors in shelter dogs, helping pets age comfortably, or addressing sport-specific concerns.

Payment

You can pay by personal check or PayPal™. Please let me know which payment method you prefer, and I will e-mail you the appropriate invoice.  Payment for group classes and presentations is required prior to the class or presentation.
