Animal Bridges Demonstrates TTouch Video

In August 2011, Elaine of Animal Bridges demonstrated Tellington TTouch® at Puppy Love Caring Canines annual fund raiser, Wag-N-Wheel Walk. The Animal Bridges Demonstrates TTouch Video is below.

Elaine demonstrated several Tellington TTouch® techniques with a dog who had a stressful incident at the vet’s office. She demonstrated a TTouch® Body Wrap, a TTouch® basic touch, and shared the TTouch® philosophy.

  • Does your pet have pain or act scared sometimes?
  • Ever wish you could tell her something she would understand?
  • Wish you knew what he was thinking?

Every people/pet team has unique needs. Often, a combination of approaches will serve both the client and the pet best. It really depends on each individual animal and person’s needs. All methods are gentle and loving.

Each session is as unique as your pet and each session with your pet can be unique from her previous sessions.

It’s easy to set up your sessions, just contact me here or call me at 612-237-9580. I’m happy to help you explore the options and find the best solution for your unique situation.

“Elaine has been very helpful and supportive since my adoption of a very anxious dog. Her t-touch sessions and ongoing communication has helped us both. She has great suggestions and is very responsive to my frantic calls.” – Lynnea Forness, Minneapolis, MN

The Pet Project Vaccination Clinic for Cats and Dogs

The Pet Project Vaccination Clinic for Cats and Dogs

pet-projectElaine spent Sunday, August 15, 2010 with The Pet Project vaccination clinic for cats and dogs in St. Paul. People were so grateful for the help. One couple said in 30 years of being together they never expected needing help with their pet’s shots. Unfortunately they are experiencing long term unemployment.

This is exactly how Kimberly Carrier wanted to help people when she collected her first 10 pounds of dog food. She wanted to help people keep their pets during difficult times. As a result, The Pet Project became a non-profit with the mission statement of “The Pet Project helps people keep their pets by providing pet food and basic supplies to those who are struggling. The Pet Project also provides connections to basic veterinary care and information on finding pet-friendly housing.”

Now The Pet Project supports 10 Twin Cities food shelves with pet food and supplies, helped 60 pets with medical issues, and had its first vaccination clinic! Way to go!

Animal Bridges highly recommends The Pet Project! Please support this wonderful cause.

Animal Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals

Animal Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals

walk-for-dogsOn May 1, 2010, my dog Hobbes and I joined over 10,000 animal lovers and 5,000 pets for the Animal Humane Society’s Walk for the Animals in Golden Valley, Minnesota. The past two years I had a booth. This year I chose not to, and it was fun to see the event from the other side.

Hobbes really impressed me as he calmly accepted all the animals and people. When a very large Bernese mountain dog marched right up to his face, Hobbes barked once to tell the dog he was not very polite. Using his TTouch® step-in-harness and leash, he was the perfect walking companion. Before the walk started, a cat laid down only inches away. Although Hobbes sniffed the cat, I don’t think he realized it was a cat because he didn’t see its face. After the 5 mile walk, Hobbes and I were happy to go home and take a nap.

Minneapolis Miniature Schnauzer Rescue and TTouch®

Minneapolis Miniature Schnauzer Rescue and TTouch®

mineature-schnauzerImagine a room of Miniature Schnauzers and other dogs barking loudly and suddenly it was quiet! This was the scene as I started to speak at the Minneapolis Miniature Schnauzer Rescue (MSPMSR) April meeting. I laughed as two Standard Schnauzers, a Sheltie, and a Maltese pretended they too were Miniature Schnauzers!

MSPMSR wanted to know how Tellington TTouch® Training helps rescue dogs become confident and relaxed. Several of the dogs were wonderful teachers as they quieted and settled quickly when they wore TTouch® Body Wraps. One dog stopped trembling and was more relaxed. We discussed the importance of being “mindful” and present as you work with your pets. This means forget about what you need to do and just be with your dog. The group learned various TTouches® for dog’s anxiety including thunderstorms and a simple leash configuration for pulling dogs. During the question and answers, I showed how to use TTouch® to ease the dog’s concerns of his feet being touched and nail clipping.  We also discussed how animal communications works and benefits of Rescue® Remedy for these dogs as they find new homes.

Then it was play time. The dogs played and the people talked. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a wonderful people who find Miniature Schnauzers new forever homes!

Animal Bridges Demonstrates TTouch® at Walk for the Animals

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Walk for the Animals on Saturday May 2nd. Animal Bridges enjoyed demonstrating TTouch® at the Walk. We talked with lots of animal lovers and showed how TTouch®, animal communication, and other methods could help the people and animals. In the photo below, Elaine (in red jacket) talked with a dog lover. See you next year!

Elaine Demonstrating TTouch to North Star Therapy Animals

Imagine 25 dogs, 1 rabbit, and 26 people sitting quietly in a room. This is how I met North Star Therapy Animals. They asked me to demonstrate Tellington TTouch® to their therapy teams. We discussed ways TTouch ® can help the teams relax as they prepared to visit a nursing home or a hospital, sit quietly for children as they read to the dogs, and help calm a pet in an emergency situation.

If you are interested in becoming a therapy team, North Star Therapy Animals can help you.

Dog With Hip Dysplasia Stops Pulling on Leash

Dog With Hip Dysplasia Stops Pulling on Leash

dog-on-leashIntro to Tellington TTouch® with Your Dog class was a huge success. The day was packed with information and many “ah ha” moments. Gwen wanted to help Lucy, her dog who has hip dysplasia, to stop pulling on the leash. The next morning I received this email message.

“Lucy and I went for our first long walk this morning after the class yesterday using her new halter and leash.  It was the most relaxing walk we’ve ever had!  I focused on two things as we went, 1. I can’t help her and she can’t stay balanced (on her dysplasic hips) if she’s walking ahead of me and 2. communicating what I wanted through the leash (as opposed to the obedience way of tensing up when she did something wrong, holding my breath until she did it right and then rewarding/praising her).

Elaine Answering Questions at Doggie Palooza

The weather was perfect for Doggie Palooza on Saturday October 4th. I demonstrated and talked about TTouch® to dog lovers. The dog lovers asked great questions, practiced the TTouches I taught them, and walked away with a better understand in of TTouch® and animal communication.

So many people asked about TTouch classes that I am looking for a place to teach. I’ll keep you posted on upcoming classes and events.

“I will always remember Tuesday, February 25th, about 24 hours post surgery. Our puppy was failing. We spoke by phone, Minnesota to Florida. From the time you began your healing touch [Healing Touch for Animals®] with RAFA, I could see him improve. He stopped vomiting, he started moving, he started to pee a lot! You told me how to massage his ears [Tellington TTouch®Ear Slides]. The doctor and nurse in his intensive care clinic were amazed at his improvement. The doctors and nurses the next morning were amazed at his improvement. You were always there for what was best for our puppy.” –Patsy, Florida
